Does the HP OfficeJet Pro 6230 block third-party ink?

Firmware update can remove it

It is on HP's lock list, but HP publishes a firmware update that turns Dynamic Security off.

HP OfficeJet Pro 6230 is on HP's list of Dynamic Security printers. HP's support document (c05308850) names this model's series as one where a firmware update disables Dynamic Security on all units, regardless of manufacture date. We have not tested this, and HP can change behaviour in later firmware, so read HP's document before relying on it. [1] [2]
