Epson and third-party ink

Epson publishes a general statement rather than a per-model list.

Epson's statement

Epson says its printer "was designed to work only with genuine Epson ink cartridges", that other brands of ink supplies "are not compatible and, if described as compatible, may not function properly or continuously", and that some firmware updates "may affect the functionality of third party ink".
Epson says such restrictions "can be avoided with some other printers such as Epson EcoTank cartridge free printers".
